About this tool
Audio Waveform Viewer is a free online tool. Render the waveform of an audio file to inspect amplitude.
After uploading the audio file, the tool draws a complete waveform diagram (time domain) and spectrum diagram (frequency domain). The waveform diagram shows the change in amplitude over time, and local details can be viewed with zoom. The spectrogram shows the distribution of frequency components over time, and expresses the energy intensity in color shades.
Waveform drawing decodes audio data through the Web Audio API and obtains the amplitude value of each sampling point. Spectral analysis uses a fast Fourier transform (FFT) to convert a time-domain signal into a frequency-domain representation. Supports stereo separation to display left and right channels.
Suitable for audio engineers to analyze recording quality, detect clipping distortion, and view frequency distribution. It is also used for music production, post-podcasting, and acoustic research. You can export waveform maps to PNG, or peak data to CSV.
Audio waveform viewer, which visually displays the time-domain waveform and frequency-domain spectrum of audio, supports zooming, panning, and peak annotation for audio analysis.
