Use the direction keys or finger swiping to control the direction of movement of all squares. After each slide, the collision of squares with the same number will merge into twice, such as two 2s to form 4, and two 4s to form 8. After merging, a 2 or 4 will appear randomly in the blank space.
The core strategy is to concentrate big numbers in corners and keep moving in one direction. For example, put the largest number in the lower right corner and use only the right and bottom directions to prevent large numbers from being removed. New squares should try not to interfere with existing arrangements.
The game uses CSS Grid to lay out the grids, and JavaScript handles merge logic and animation. Reaching 2048 is a victory, but you can also continue to challenge higher numbers.
The classic 2048 number merge game uses sliding and merging the same numbers on the 4×4 grid. The goal is to make up 2048 to test strategy and prediction ability.
