Doppler Effect Visualization is a free online visual effect. Sound source motion creates Doppler frequency shift, wave compression and stretching effects. Interactive eye-candy rendered live on your screen. It runs entirely in your browser — no download or sign-up needed.
When opening the page, it will display a moving wave source emitting a circular wave. The wave in front of the wave source is compressed (frequency increases) and the wave behind the wave source is stretched (frequency decreases), visually demonstrating the Doppler effect. Parameters such as wave source speed and frequency can be adjusted.
The whole process is purely front-end animation, drawing wave sources and ripples based on Canvas, and using Doppler formula to calculate the compression and stretching of ripples.
It is suitable for use as a physical teaching demonstration, Doppler effect popularization, or a visual display to purely appreciate the Doppler effect. The realization principle is the Doppler frequency shift formula.
