3D Dynamic Ocean is a free online visual effect. Three.js ShaderMaterial dynamic wave ocean, mouse creates ripples. Interactive eye-candy rendered live on your screen. It runs entirely in your browser — no download or sign-up needed.
After opening the page, a 3D ocean scene will be displayed. There are real waves on the sea surface, and sunlight will reflect and refract on the water surface. You can use the mouse to rotate the perspective. Parameters such as wave intensity, wind speed, and light angle can be adjusted.
The whole process is pure front-end animation, based on Three.js planar geometry, using vertex shaders to achieve wave effects, and fragment shaders to achieve water surface lighting. Use the Gerstner Wave Model to simulate real waves.
It is suitable for use as an ocean-themed webpage, background decoration, or simply appreciating the realistic effects of the 3D ocean. The realization principle is the Gerstner wave model and Fresnel reflection.
